Rain of blessing

2015 – Tehran – Iran

Society and the world often expect women to be mothers who sacrifice themselves entirely for their children, dedicating their thoughts, energy, and very essence to raising the next generation.

After the birth of a child, mothers are expected to devote themselves like milk-giving cows, with the notion that providing more milk equates to being a better, more exemplary mother. In many cultures and religious ideologies, paradise is promised beneath the feet of mothers who surrender themselves most completely to their children.
